Synopsis: This 20" x 24" C-Print is a Printed Matter fundraising edition. All proceeds from the sale of the edition will help keep the LA Art Book Fair free and open to the public. Self-Portrait As Golden (Death Valley CA) depicts the artist standing naked in the midst of sublime landscape in Death Valley California. The image was produced for Sherry's first book “It's Time”, published by Damiani in 2009, which featured a beautiful collection of hypersaturated, psychedelia, images of the landscapes and still-lifes that take on anthropomorphic qualities - humans he features in them become part of the landscape, as opposed to inhabitants.
