Synopsis: Curators Megan Plunkett and Alex Gartenfeld organized a project for Creative Time's 2008 Democracy Now exhibition in which they solicited submissions from fellow 22 year-old artists and students that collectively would provide a portrait of the political involvement and culture of their generation. Submissions consisted of printouts (of email messages, texts, found images, etc.) that were made available to viewers of the exhibition. This book is a collection of such printouts from participants Jonathan Basile, Noel Chanyungco, Meggie Kelley, Annie Ochmanek, Alex Roth, and Lanya Snider. Invited artists include Bill Hayden, Marco Kane Braunschweiler, Erik Lindman, Asher Penn, SHOWROOM, Nolan Simon, Robert Snowden, and Martine Syms.
