Synopsis: M.D., F.A.C.S. is Chris Habib's ode to the surgically enhanced ladies of his native Upper East Side neighborhood. As he explains in the zine's handwritten introduction, Habib conducted a search for the most interestingly sculpted faces in an area where multi-plasty is as ubiquitous as designer handbags. He recorded his observations on the pages of a cloakroom claim ticket book and then transformed these notes into haiku, illustrated with pen and ink drawings. This incisive collection combines Habib's original notes with twelve finished portraits.
